Signing MoU with Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) to Explore Strategic Collaboration for King Salman Gate

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 18 November 2025 – RUA AlHaram AlMakki Company, a PIF Company, master developer and Foundation Partner of Cityscape Global 2025, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB), a leading urban property and construction group.
MRCB is renowned for pioneering Transit Oriented Development in Malaysia through its flagship $4.3 billion Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station, and for delivering world-class commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects. With a 1,156-acre land bank valued at an estimated gross development value of $7.9 billion, the Group’s expertise spans property development and investment, engineering and construction, and facilities management.
The MoU outlines a joint commitment to explore investment opportunities within King Salman Gate, an iconic mixed-use destination in Makkah designed to integrate modern urban living with the city’s cultural heritage. Spanning around 12 million square meters gross floor area adjacent to AlMasjid AlHaram, the destination aims to set new standards for urban design.
MRCB’s proven capability in delivering complex, transit-oriented and large-scale developments makes it an ideal partner to support RUA AlHaram AlMakki Company’s vision for a seamlessly connected environment at King Salman Gate.
Collaboration options under the MoU include:
• Joint ventures to develop one or more parcels of land within King Salman Gate
• Land acquisitions by MRCB for independent development
• Private credit investments or equity investments in funds or products created by RUA AlHaram AlMakki Company
• Any other mutually agreed form of collaboration
This MoU, among others, delivers on RUA AlHaram AlMakki Company’s goal to work with international partners to create destinations for the global Muslim community in Makkah. The MoU was formalized at Cityscape Global in Riyadh, one of the world’s most influential real estate events, where the developer made its debut showcasing King Salman Gate to global investors, developers, and stakeholders.
